Vacature Full-stack developer

Zoover is the largest hotel and travel rating portal in the Netherlands. With 3.8 million ratings, 400,000 hotels and campsites as well as 900,000 travel tips, the Zoover platform makes finding and booking the perfect holiday a cinch. Zoover was recently acquired by promising Dutch travel start-up vakanties.nl. Together the two brands will go all-in on the Dutch and Belgium travel market. In our Rotterdam office, around 35 colleagues all work together to achieve our goal by providing inspiring content through our website, blog and other platforms, by developing a user friendly website, apps for tablet and mobile, and offering a varied assortment of accommodations, reviews and customer service. As a high-traffic, travel website, we’re looking for a Full-stack Developer as the crucial link between our front- & back-end services. Our in-house developed application platform on GCP relies heavily on GraphQL and REST api's to serve our customers with the content and functionality they need. We build our front-end applications using React, Typescript and Next. You will be part of a solid and efficient development team to drive product and platform innovation. We have a strong need for technical cleverness to build our roadmap and ensuring improvements for consumers. We are open for new technologies, encourage collaborative decisions and are pushing for multi-disciplinary scrum teams caring about the products we ship. Your tasks/responsibilities: • Implement new features and components in our platform; • Consistently care for very good test coverage and automation; • Plan and execute mid-sized projects independently; • Drive continuous evolution of our application architecture together with the team; • Design RESTful APIs that provide outstanding Developer Experience; Your background and skills: • Energetic and goal oriented; • At least 2 years of full-stack development experience, preferably in e-commerce • 2 years experience working with React, GraphQL and/or Python; • Experience with multiple of: React, Typescript, ElasticSearch, Google App Engine, Redis, Microservices architecture, Docker, Cloud build, Terraform, SQL • Experience in the online travel industry is a plus
