I stayed at Kaikoesie for two months during my internship and the service was amazing even before I arrived. Vanessa was quick to reply to all my questions.
The pickup at the airport was well arraigned and "checking in" the room went equally smooth. There was a minor glitch with the shower in the first room that was assigned and I was immediately moved to another room.
Rooms were cleaned frequently. Ocassional problems that I had were always fixed by the end of the day. 24hr security gave me a safe feeling.
To me service and cleanliness is important and once I was in suriname and saw how other interns lived and where they stayed I felt superlucky that I found Kaikoesie and was staying there. Vanessa and her mom made me feel as if I was at home.
The only downside I can think of is that the internet gets weaker as you move higher in the building resulting in the topfloors not having internet and having to go downstairs to get a connection. I am sure that this is fixed by now however.
