Het hotel was vroeger een Nonnenklooster dat nu is omgebouwd. Het is heel gezellig met een groot binnenplein waar men kan eten. De kamers zijn voorzien van al het moderne komfort o.a.ook een stijkplank.

Camino Real Puebla is a beautiful hotel that is in an ex-convento. The architecture is stunning. Each room is different and beautiful. They are also very spacious. The beds are very comfortable. The staff attends to your every need with courtesy and smiles. Although there is not a lot of english spoken, they speak enough that you can get your needs met. I think there are a few staff that speak excellent english, but I speak fluent spanish so I never had to worry about the language barrier. The hotel is situated very close to the plaza with a beautiful church and fountain. It is walking distance to shopping and restaurants and I never felt unsafe walking in the neighborhood, although you still must take care to guard your belongings. I was recommened to this hotel by a Mexican friend who lives in nearby Tlaxcala and he was right, it is excellent! The restaurant is not too expensive and has good food. The only complaint I would have if I had one is the cover they put over the interior is unsightly. But it does not take away from the beauty of the building.
