25-6-2009 As it was my husbands big 40 birthday, I specifically requested a room with a view of the lake - not guaranteed. However, on being escorted to the room, they had gone one better a fantastic view of the lake, champagne on ice, fruit platter and even a birthday card.
The hotel is ideally situated for the main shopping area, old town and some very nice bistros. The road outside the hotel is a very busy road throughout the night, so if staying on the front don't leave the window open as it can get quite noisy. Fine with the window shut, though. Room good, the Lavazza coffee machine is a nice touch. Bit tricky picking the correct cup size though and don't forget to locate the stop button first if you turn the hot water on! On the whole great - pricey but worth it.

25-6-2009 Thought the hotel was excellent and best location and value for money of all the 5 star hotels. We were hesitant as this was the only hotel on the lake in the Old Town however it transpired this was the better location by far. Stayed in City side rooms, marginally smaller than lakeside but very smart in any event and the staff were very attentive. Only comment re hotel was the restaurant was just ok in terms of quality for price, but you can't have it all. All in all good choice and Geneva well worth going to.

25-6-2009 staff were fine, hotel ok if not a little expensive but there again alll of Switzerland is expensive or at least in Geneva,

Rooms were cleaned daily. The restaurant seemed without any soul. There did not seem to be anyone dining there and we didnt either.

Staff were extremely helpful and very kind.

25-6-2009 The staff were friendly and obliging. The room was well equipped and had the promised views of the lake. The location was perfect - central and on the doorstep for the fete du genevre. Booking through Skoosh in advance halved the standard room rate for the stay.

25-6-2009 Excellent location overlooking park + the famous Jet d'Eau, with the major shopping street located behind. Well trained staff, excellent accomodation & delicious room service.

25-6-2009 Great position near all shopping and across from the lake. room was comfortable but a little small. Foyer was exceptional. Staff very friendly and helpful. Loved the coffee machine in the room.

25-6-2009 When we arrived the recptionist offered us an upgraqde for a lakeside room. I explained that I already booked a lakeside room. At that point he noticed there were no more available. We were quite unhappy because we knew we were being taken. They put us in a city view room(quite small, no view). The next day they rang and said we could move to a lakeside, very nice but the damage was done.

25-6-2009 Friendly, Comfortable, Food good, All that we would expect from a five star hotel. Tea and coffee facilities in the room were disappointing.
We would certainly use again but would bring our own tea making equipment.
