My husband and I spent a weekend in Pension Duinblick in the late summer of 2011. At first glance, it looked ideal - the pension is cosy and the location is great, close to the village and the beach. However, our weekend was somewhat marred by the very strict hostess, her rigorous rules and regulations and her meddling with our privacy - fx her excessively negative comments on the way we kept our room, which were very rude, as there was absolutely no need to complaint or even comment on it. The room was small, but nice - but the fact that the window couldn't be opened more than 3 centimeters, which made the room excruciatingly hot, was also a big minus.
If the landlady would change her attitude towards her guests and not be demeaning as if they were schoolchildren, the Duinblick would be a nice place for a holiday - but as it is, we wouldn't go back. To Texel, yes, to De Koog, yes - but not to Duinblick.
