25-6-2009 Villa Varadero was a joy - way more than we expected. We booked a surperior room (ocean front) with the all inclusive addition. The room was light and airy with a good air-conditioner. The food was served in a glass enclosed palapa buffet style. The food was plentiful and excellently prepared - don't expect steak and lobster but their bbq ribs, garlic mahi-mahi, cream of queso (cheese) soups were supurb. If you stay for 3 nights they will prepare for you a romantic candle-lit dinner on the sand near the waves of Banderos Bay. The hotel had many lounge chairs under palapas on the sand and provides kayaks and boogie boards to play in the waves. This is probably the best kept secret in PV. It is a Mexican Hotel which has many Mexican tourists as well as international guests. The staff was wonderful and wireless internet was free.

25-6-2009 This hotel is pretty basic, but its clean, its in a good location, and the price is very affordable. The beach is wonderful. The included breakfast is decent. I recommend against buying the all-inclusive package: the cafeteria-style-mexican-food will get old really fast. You can walk to several excellent/affordable restaurants: several in the marina, and many outstanding ones in the adjacent Mayan Resorts. Bus stop is directly in front of hotel for affordable $1 trips to downtown PVR, Paradise Village, WalMart, etc.
