20-9-2009 This is a Camping and Caravanning Club site and so is expensive if you are not a member. However it is well landscaped and quiet, has top-class sanitary facilities, a pub, restaurant and well-stocked shop. It is about as good as you will get on this side of the channel. It is a bit remote but an excellent base for touring 'The Lakes'. There are some good walks from the site.
