15-2-2011 For a lonesome, culture-interested traveller there is without doubt no location better then Savigny Platz & no place like Pension Peters, small, functional and soooo cosy B&B located in the very heart of City West. The proprietors gave me a lot of interesting and valuable advices conc. cultural side of the city, they are nice, educated and cultivated people. Anikas paintures on the walls and Christophers huge knowledge of art (he is art-historician himself) - I will never forget berlin and this place. Highly recommended!

6-7-2010 TBT: First I didn't belive in all positive rumours I heard about this place. But they REALLY care (ask our kids!), rooms are REALLY spacious and clean and the view from our balcony was REALLY breathtaking.
Probably the best boarding house during our Europa-tripp.
I can recommend our family rooms in the second floor. And dont forget to ask for special offer for guests bookin directly! We got 10% on regular price.

17-5-2010 We stayed in Pension Peter for 4 nights l and it was a good choice.
We booked by email a little over 3 months prior to our stay and paid 69 Euros per night including breakfast and all.
Old building from XIX century, the main entrance in marble and brass but the rooms were modern-style furnished and queit. At first glance a B&B, at the second - more than that. Certainly, it is not a luxury hote, it is a rather simple accommodation but the rooms are huge, with high ceilings, functional furbished and clean and that's what really counts. From our balcony we were able to see the beautifull green Savigny Square, the sourrounding area was charming
But the real reason why I feel obliged to write an enthusiastic review is the staff. Christoph, Annika, Daisy- you were sooo friendly and helpfull, you made our stay in Berlin inforgettable. Thank you so much! We will be back!

11-5-2010 Ich war skeptisch als ich über dieses kleine Hotel bei Rick Steves in seinem Travel-Blog gelesen habe. Aber dieses Hotel ist wirklich anders. Sie nennen sich "Das andere Hotel" und es stimmt. Schon der Buchungsvorgang ist sehr persönlich: man schreibt eine Mail und bekommt eine ausführliche Antwort, jede Menge Ratschläge zur Anreise usw. Als wir angekommen waren, waren wir schon alte "Brieffreunde". Hier ist man noch Gast und nicht nur eine Zahl in einem anonymen Betrieb.Das Team war kompetent und hat uns geholfen das Besichtigungsprogramm zusammen zu stellen. Das Zimmer war riesig, das Frühstück OK, das Bad sauber und von unserem Balkon (!!!) haben wir den blähenden Savigny Platz gesehen. Überhaupt: die Gegend war Volltreffer.
Alles in allem waren wir während unseres 3-tägigen Aufenthalts sehr zufrieden. Es ist bestimmt kein Hilton oder Ritz - aber als "Guest house" nicht zu schlagen und des bezahlten Geldes wert. Wir kommen wieder!
