9-9-2011 My family, comprising of 2 adults and 2 teenagers booked this in August 2011. We are seasoned travelers and have holidayed all over the world but I can truly say that this was the worst holiday experience we’ve ever had.
We booked directly with the owner who then came back to us to say that he had other guests for the first 2 days of our trip but he will put us up in another apartment which he owns. We agreed to this but a day before arriving, he emailed to say the apartment was flooded but he now had another apartment in the Garden of Eden resort for us.
On arrival, the owner picked us up from the airport, strongly smelling of alcohol and dropped us at the reception of the Garden of Eden. On getting to the apartment, we found what could best be described as a 1 bedroom bedsit and the challenge of 4 of us getting to sleep with room only for 3 (including the sofa). After several telephone calls we finally managed to hire a spare mattress from the Garden of Eden for 30 L
